Qualifications
  • Must  have experience with Site Development, Utility work, light grade work, pipework
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground utility work
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials
  • Ability to use tablet for daily logs, time keeping,
  • Ability to read drawings, submittals and blueprints and convey this information to others
  • Dedicated and hard working
  • Basic knowledge of grading, concrete, drainage, and erosion control practices.
  • Ability to follow instruction & effectively communicate
  • Skilled in the safe use of construction tools and light equipment.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities
 
  • Study project specifications with project Superintendent to plan procedures for closing out projects
  • Operate  equipment as needed
  • Observe assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions and reports to management
  • Pressure test of sewer (force main) and water pipes
  • Water service and meter box installation
  • Flushing / Chlorination of potable water mains and sample points
  • Set sanitary manholes and storm structures rings and grade to cover
  • Lamping of sewer lines with engineers, inspectors and other related parties
  • Light drainage installation such as roof and yard drains
  • Inspect work to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules
  • Enforces company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for adhering to company safety policy and enforcing safety with crew members
  • Pouring valve pads
  • Cleaning & brick work sanitary manholes
  • Touching up mud work in storm boxes
  • Installing blow offs
  • Assisting your crew in their daily labor tasks.
  • Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools.
  • Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from site.
  • Assembling and breaking down barricades and temporary structures.
  • Regulating traffic and erecting traffic signs.
  • Digging holes, trenches, and shafts.
  • Mixing, pouring, and leveling concrete.
  • Using power tools such as concrete saws and jackhammers.
  • Following health and safety regulations. Establish a safe work environment that complies with OSHA standards and company safety program
  • Comply with federal, state and Company environmental policies
  • Review employee timecards
  • Perform weekly Tool Box talks with crew
  • Follow schedules provided and review weekly with crew
